Pakistan cricket team will be eyeing an ODI series win over Zimbabwe when the two sides face off in the third and final match of the three-game series at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo on Thursday. The series is level at 1-1 with Zimbabwe stunning the former ODI world champions in a rain-hit first ODI on Sunday.
Mohammad Rizwan’s side bounced back to win the second ODI by 10 wickets after Saim Ayub smashed a record-breaking maiden ODI century. Ayub smashed a ton off only 53 balls as Pakistan chased down 148 to win without the loss of any wickets inside 20 overs.
Pakistan have a dominant record against the Zimbabweans in ODI cricket, having own 55 out of the 64 matches between the two sides. Sunday’s win was Zimbabwe’s only sixth win over the Asian side in this format.
Thunderstorms are once again predicted around the scheduled start time of the third ODI and we could have a delayed start due to wet weather. Pakistan are coming into this ODI series on the back of a historic 2-1 win over Australia earlier this month.
It’s the ODI series decider between Zimbabwe and Pakistan!
