Manchester United are monitoring the situation of Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush ahead of a potential move, according to Sky Sports Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg.
The Red Devils have been linked with a loan move for Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani ahead of the January transfer window, but the German reporter has poured cold water on it, claiming it is the Egypt international who is on a long list of potential targets for the Old Trafford club.
There is nothing concrete at the moment as far as the interest of Man United in Marmoush is concerned, but that could change going forward.
The Old Trafford club could look to sign attacking reinforcements during the January transfer window if both Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund have shown no signs of improvement by then, and the Bundesliga star could be perfect for head coach Ruben Amorim.
Marmoush has 14 goals and 10 assists in 17 games across all competitions so far this term after ending last term with 12 league goals and six assists, and he has also been linked with Liverpool and Arsenal.
Man United could do with his impressive services in the attacking third during the second half of 2024-25, but Frankfurt are unwilling to sell him in January and have slammed a €50 million price tag on his head ahead of the next summer window.
He will not be short of top suitors by then, which could see the Red Devils have plenty of competition to face for his services.
Man United need quality finishers in their attack to become a force to reckon with in England and Europe again, and Amorim has to decide whether Marmoush fits into his project and playing style before a transfer decision can be made.
