ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Troy man pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter in a homicide case on Tuesday, the Albany County District Attorney's Office announced. Daquan Arrington, 24, was initially arraigned back in August.
As part of his plea, Arrington admitted to intentionally shooting and killing Javon Ward in Albany on June 5 in tandem with 22-year-old Paul Smith. Smith was arrested on June 11.
Arrington faces 25 years in state prison as well as a five-year term of probation. His sentencing is scheduled for January 27.
Arrington additionally pleaded guilty to second-degree criminal possession of a weapon in a separate shots-fired incident that took place on May 26 in Albany. His sentencing for the second case is scheduled for January 17.
