AN I’M a Celebrity ‘feud’ has been fuelled after the campmates took part in the terrifying Fright Bust challenge.
During Tuesday night’s episode of I’m a Celebrity the entire camp competed in the trail to win an item of luxury luggage.
It involved the famous faces sitting on a bus and being showered with critters as they earned coins which could be exchanged for their things from home.
Unsurprisingly stars incuding Maura Higgins and Tulisa screamed their way through the trial.
Maura, 34, was sat next to Barry McGuigan, who appeared to quickly have enough of her cries.
Barry, 63, was heard telling her, “shh, calm down” – despite her clearly struggling with being covered in bugs.
Fans at home noticed the potential tension too, with one writing on social media: “Poor Barry stuck between Maura and Tulisa. He just wants to be done and get home.”
Another said: “Barry quietly contemplating to himself, why he had to sit next to Maura & Tulisa squealing in his ear.”
It comes after viewers slammed Barry for “taking a sly swipe” at Maura, who briefly dated his son Shane before she found fame on Love Island.
When Maura and Rev Richard Coles entered camp as late arrivals, they had to tackle six courses at the Terrifying Teddy Bear Picnic.
Maura faced snacks including a goat’s testicle, cow teats and bull’s penis.
They had already bagged six portions of burgers and hot dogs for campmates by keeping up the charade of living in squalor in the Jungle Junkyard.
As the ten other celebs watched and laughed, the pair won the remaining six portions for a slap-up junk food buffet.
They were rewarded with a feast of sliders, pizza, nuggets, chips and hot dogs
As the camp tucked into the food, Barry said: “You see, Maura, you aren’t as hungry as we are. We’re starving.”
She looked up at him and nodded in agreement.
But viewers weren’t sure about the comment and feel it might be a sign of underlying tension.
One wrote: “Barry: “You see Maura you aren’t as hungry as we are” This felt so awkward considering Maura is Barry’s sons ex girlfriend [crying emojis].”
