New Delhi: Chennai Super Kings bought many of their old players in the mega auction of IPL 2025. But Deepak Chahar is one of those players on whom the Chennai management bid but could not buy due to the high amount. He has been bought by Mumbai Indians for Rs 9.25 crore.

Deepak Chahar has an elder sister, Malti Chahar, who is a Bollywood model and actress. Malti has created a few short films and also directed them. She has also been seen in Bollywood movies and web series. She is also cousin to yet another Indian cricketer, Rahul Chahar. Malti was born to Lokendra Singh Chahar and Pushpa Chahar on 15 November 1990 and brought up in Agra and Lucknow. She graduated with a degree in Software engineering from the Institute of Engineering and Technology, Lucknow. She was a national-level level jump and Shot-Put player throughout her school as well as college days. Deepak Chahar’s sister came into the limelight at a KKR vs CSK match back in 2018.
