It is likely that over the next couple of months, talk of Tesla coming to India will again heat up. With Donald Trump in power, expect some drama over import duties before it happens. Now, when a sector goes through a transformation – or gets created, as is happening with EVs – some companies emerge as visible stakeholders of that sector. Auto and auto ancillary companies fall in this category. Then there are those that do not instinctively come to mind vis a vis the sector – but, in fact, are impacted positively by the change. On the face of it, these don't belong to the EV space, but could play an important role in the EV ecosystem.
