OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - Authorities with the Oklahoma City Police Department (OKCPD) say a welfare check turned into a rescue that happened in the nick of time.
Police say on November 10th, Officer Reyes performed a welfare check on a man reported being on a bridge at South Pennsylvania and Exchange Avenue.
According to OKCPD, upon arrival, the officer approached the man, who appeared to be sleeping on the edge of the bridge. The man suddenly rolled to his side and fell off the ledge.
Officer Reyes quickly grabbed the man by his sweatshirt and arm to bring him to safety. Police also say a nearby jogger saw the whole thing and jumped in to help Reyes get the man to safety.
The man suffered no injuries and was given a ride back to his family.
