NORMAN, Okla. (KFOR) – Oklahoma University Police said Danny Stutsman’s “senior night” jersey has been located. OUPD told News 4 they spoke with OU Athletics Monday morning who confirmed the missing jersey was located.
Stutsman posted to “X” after OU’s win over 7th-ranked Alabama saying his senior night jersey went missing.
“If found please DM me, I kind of want that,” said Stutsman on X, formally known as Twitter.
He was wearing the jersey during post-game interviews. He told The Franchise Morning Show on Monday how it disappeared.
"The game ended and the equipment guys are trying to collect the jerseys and obviously I said ‘look I'm keeping this one. Fine me, charge me or whatever but, I put it near my locker," said Stutsman.
He said he left the jersey to do a radio interview then went to the training room where they doctored a cut on his foot.
"By then I totally forgot,” said Stutsman. “I head home. I'm in traffic and on the way home. I go ‘oh shoot my jersey.’ I call Gabe and see if I left it in the radio. I call the equipment guys and they say it's not there."
OUPD’s Lt. Chase Brooks said neither Stutsman nor the football program filed a police report. Brooks said OU Athletics let him know the jersey was “located” but did not go into detail about how it was found and if it was back in Stutsman’s possession.
KFOR reached out to OU's football department to ask how the jersey was discovered but have not heard back.
