Hell is watching Donald Trump dance. Now we are subjected to it all the time, not just because he was reelected president but because athletes seem to really enjoy celebrating W’s with Trump’s signature arrhythmic hip-swishing. Also hopping on the bandwagon is Trump’s 17-year-old granddaughter Kai, who posted a TikTok performing her grandpa’s choreo to the tune of one of his favorite songs to shimmy to, the Village People’s “YMCA.”
Kai, who’s made a concerted effort to show public support for her grandfather as he heads back to office, seems to have filmed the TikTok on a private plane with her friend Emma (Emma also made an appearance in Kai’s Election Night vlog). “Learned these moves from the best,” she wrote in the caption, while onscreen, she and Emma, in matching black outfits, mimed swinging golf clubs and pointing at audience members — two of Trump’s other go-to rally gestures.
While Kai may be unique in being this publicly into her grandpa, she’s unfortunately far from the only teen who loves Trump’s dance moves. On Election Night, conservative college students were enthusiastically pursing their lips and sticking their fists out to the “YMCA” like drunk Republican tin men. I guess Kai didn’t want to learn the “Nasty” choreo?
