Just in time for the holidays, disgraced Florida congressman Matt Gaetz has joined Cameo shortly after ending his bid for attorney general. Finally, the perfect gift for your worst enemy!

Gaetz, who’s the subject of a still-unreleased House Ethics Committee report that allegedly includes testimony about sexual encounters he had with a 17-year-old, withdrew his name from the AG running on Thursday amid widespread calls to release the report. Responding to speculation that Gaetz might return to the Congress seat he’d given up when Trump nominated him for AG — which would also allow the House Ethics Committee to resume its investigation into his wide range of objectionable behavior — Gaetz announced he would be taking his talents (?) elsewhere.
“I’m still going to be in the fight, but it’s going to be from a new perch,” he told Charlie Kirk in an interview Friday. “I do not intend to join the 119th Congress.” Over the weekend, it became apparent that the perch he had in mind was Cameo, home of aging reality stars, retired athletes, and, now, failed political careers. His Cameo profile, which is linked in his Twitter bio, summarizes his recent brush with sexual-misconduct charges as such: “Trump nominated me to be US Attorney General (that didn’t work out).” He appears to have already recorded several $500 videos, including one addressing a woman who is “bummed out” he didn’t end up being attorney general.
You may recall that Gaetz’s fellow congressman George Santos also joined Cameo shortly after he was expelled from the House for buying Botox and Hermès ties with campaign funds. This means there are now at least two guys on Cameo who have been investigated by the House Ethics Committee. Maybe they should consider offering a bundle deal?
