Disney Debuts First Teaser Trailer for 'Lilo & Stitch' Live-Action Movie - Watch Now!
We’re getting a glimpse at the new Lilo & Stitch movie!
On Monday (November 25), Disney debuted the first teaser trailer for the upcoming live-action version of the beloved 2002 animated movie.
In the 30-second teaser, Stitch destroys several different sandcastles on the beach in a Godzilla-like fashion.
Keep reading to find out more…Chris Sanders – the voice actor, filmmaker, and animator who originally created Stitch and co-wrote and co-directed the original movie with Dean DeBlois – is voicing Stitch again in the new movie.
Newcomer Maia Kealoha will be playing Lilo, the little girl from Hawaii who adopts Stitch.
According to an official film synopsis, Lilo & Stitch “tells a story of the bond formed between a lonely human girl named Lilo and a dog-like alien named Stitch, who was genetically engineered to be a force of destruction. With nosy social workers and pursuing aliens banging on the door, the two bond over a shared sense of family and win the day.”
Sydney Agudong will be playing Lilo’s older sister Nani while Kahiau Machado is playing David Kawena, Nani’s love interest. The cast also includes Zach Galifianakis, Billy Magnussen, Courtney B. Vance, Amy Hill, and Tia Carrere.
The live-action Lilo & Stitch movie hits theaters on theaters May 23, 2025.
