Buster Olney of ESPN reported Sunday that teams in the Juan Soto sweepstakes are expected to begin submitting offers to the star free agent. Olney added that the meetings with Soto have largely been team officials getting to know Soto.
Braves Hall of Famer Rico Carty passed away Sunday at the age of 85. A native of the Dominican Republic, Carty won the batting title in 1970, hitting .366 with a 1.037 OPS and making his lone All-Star Game appearance.
