India batter Prithvi Shaw, who starred for Delhi Capitals in the previous seasons, went unsold in the first round of the IPL 2025 mega auction. The franchise didn’t show any interest in the Indian batter despite his base price being that of INR 75 lakhs.
Despite Shaw’s drop in price, the Mumbai opener failed to attract any bids in the mega auction at Jeddah on November 25, Monday.
Once regarded as one of Indian cricket’s brightest talents, Shaw failed to draw any bids, leaving fans and analysts alike baffled. With the auction not wrapped up yet, Shaw’s IPL future now hangs in the balance.
After the batter went unsold, people started roasting him on social media for not being able to find a franchise despite his base price being quite low.
