NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) – ‘Tis the season for holiday shopping, and there are plenty of pop-up markets across New York City to get the job done.
Local businesses and novelty artisans will set up shop at holiday markets throughout November and December, offering gifts big and small and bites of great holiday eats.
Here's where to find nine pop-up holiday markets in New York City this year:
- Union Square Holiday Market
- Where: University Place & East 14th Street
- When: 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. Monday through Friday; 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday through Dec. 24
- What: Over 100 booths set up in Union Square Park with gifts for the holidays and coupons for local businesses.
- Bryant Park Holiday Market
- Where: Bryant Park
- When: 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. Monday through Friday; 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday through Jan. 5, 2025
- What: Holiday shops will be set up on the Upper and Fountain Terraces, rink deck, along 40th Street, and northern and southern allées. For a list of vendors, click here.
- Columbus Circle Holiday Market
- Where: Central Park, Columbus Circle
- When: 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday; 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. Sunday through Dec. 31
- What: Over 140 vendors will set up in Central Park for holiday shopping.
- Macy’s Holiday Square
- Where: 151 West 34th Street mezzanine
- When: Through Jan. 3, 2025
- What: Macy’s Herald Square will be turned into a 9-story “holiday wonderland of food & gifts” that will include artists from across New York City. To check out a map of the holiday shop, click here.
- Grand Central Holiday Fair
- Where: Grand Central Terminal’s Vanderbilt Hall; 89 East 42nd Street
- When: 110 a.m. - 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday; 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Sunday through Dec. 24
- What: Vanderbilt Hall will be filled with jewelry, pottery, artwork and more for the holiday season. The market will offer complimentary gift-wrapping for items bought at the fair.
- Dumbo Holiday Pop-Up
- Where: Empire Stores, 55 Water Street
- When: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Dec. 7-8, 14-15, 21-22
- What: Over 35 jewelry will set up with a range of goods, including stocking stuffers, for the holidays. This market will also run at 190 Court Street and 51 Bergen Street at the same times.
- Wallabout Wonderland Holiday Market
- Where: Brooklyn Navy Yard
- When: 12 p.m. - 5 p.m. Dec. 7-8
- What: Shop for art, beauty and personal care, fashion, jewelry, books, and novelty food and beverages at a pop-up market at Brooklyn Navy Yard. The market will also have activities, family portraits and crafts. To RSVP, click here.
- Japanese Holiday Market
- Where: 934 3rd Avenue, Brooklyn
- When: Dec. 14-15 from 12 p.m. - 6 p.m.
- What: Japanese handmade gifts like stationery, jewelry and clothes. The event will feature over 20 craft vendors.
- Astoria Holiday Market
- Where: 29-19 24th Avenue
- When: 12 p.m. - 6 p.m. on Dec. 8, 15
- What: Grab gifts alongside drinks and baked goods in Astoria at the Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden. Admission is free.
