MANCHESTER CITY will be desperate to end their five-match losing streak when Dutch opponents Feyenoord visit the Etihad in the Champions League on Tuesday.

It’s back to the drawing board for Pep Guardiola, who is looking to avoid a SIXTH consecutive defeat in all competitions when Feyenoord visit in the Champions League.
The Cityzens were comprehensively thumped 4-0 by Tottenham over the weekend, a result which followed losses to Bournemouth, Sporting Lisbon, Brighton and Spurs.
City’s current run represents the longest losing streak of Guardiola’s managerial career, and their worst since 2006 under Stuart Pearce
Manchester City remain second in the table but they now trail leaders Liverpool by a full eight points and must travel to Anfield for a must-win encounter against Arne Slot’s side on Sunday.
That’s far from ideal given City have faced an average of 1.17 shots on the counter per game this season – nearly double their highest total of 0.66 two seasons ago.
They are clearly struggling to cope with the absence of Rodri, but there is some positive news with Kevin De Bruyne looking fit and ready to go following his cameos in the last few matches.
They are also unbeaten in their last 33 home matches in the Champions League (W29 D4), while Feyenoord have only won one of their 10 matches against English sides in the European Cup/Champions League.
The visitors, managed by Brian Priske, sit fourth in the Eredivisie and arrive having won their last two games by an aggregate score of 7-1.
And they are clearly comfortable on the road having both of their away matches in the Champions League against Girona and Benfica, netting six goals in the process.

Pep Guardiola’s side haven’t lost consecutive Champions League games since September 2018, and it’s unlikely they’ll suffer that fate on Tuesday – even in their current form.
But that doesn’t mean it’ll be a walk in the park.
As mentioned, Feyenoord have stuck three past Girona and Benfica away from home in the Champions League this season, and haven’t lost a competitive match in 10 on the road.
They have, however, shipped 10 goals in their four European games, which is the fifth-worst defensive record in the competition.
Given Feyenoord have only kept one clean sheet in their last 19 matches in the Champions League, and City average 2.9 goals per home match in the Champions League – the hosts should be capable of scoring a couple.
And it’s more than likely that a frustrated Erling Haaland will be the oner to deliver.
The Norwegian striker may have blanked against Tottenham over the weekend, but he still had seven attempts and generated an xG of 0.82.
He’s been directly involved in 49 goals in 43 appearances in the Champions League (44 goals, five assists) and has five goals in his last four matches for club and country.
