A MUM screamed “my baby’s been shot” after an eight-year-old girl was reportedly caught in crossfire when a gunman opened fire in a double shooting.
Cops have launched an urgent hunt for a gunman who fled the horror scene in Ladbroke Grove, west London yesterday.
The girl and a man aged 34 were treated for gunshot wounds and raced to hospital after officers were called at 5.34pm.
A local told Metro: “I heard shots, and then a woman shouting: ‘My baby, my baby’s been shot’.”
Witnesses believe the attack was “targeted” but police have not confirmed this.
The girl is understood to have been caught in the crossfire when a man opened fire as she sat in a car.
Scotland Yard said it is waiting for an update on the both victims’ conditions.
But the force said the girl’s injuries are not life-threatening and she is in a stable condition.
A 32-year-old woman was also taken to hospital as a precaution but was not injured.
No arrests have been made and detectives are now probing the double shooting.
Superintendent Owen Renowden said: “This is an appalling incident that has left two people seriously injured.
“They include a young girl who thankfully is in a stable condition this morning.
“I am appealing to the public who may have been in the area at the time of the shooting.
“Did you hear any gunshots around 5.30pm yesterday evening? Did you see anyone fleeing the area?
“We are keen to hear from anyone who may have any information surrounding this incident.
“Your information matters, no matter how insignificant you may think it is.”

“I know residents in the local community will be rightly concerned for their safety after several recent incidents in the neighbourhood.
