A POPULAR American snack has been the inspiration for a new pizza that has hit shelves in one UK supermarket.
Morrisons have taken the pineapple-on-pizza debate to a whole new level with their latest American-Italian fusion.
“S’mores Pizza is back at Morrisons,” one delighted shopper posted on Facebook.
The post included a photo of the unusual find in the fresh pizza section.
It features a traditional dough pizza base topped with chocolate buttons, cookie chunks, and lots of mini pink and white marshmallows.
The pizza is inspired by the US s’mores which are typically cooked over a campfire.
The sweet treat is made with a large toasted marshmallow that is then sandwiched between two graham crackers with a layer of chocolate in the middle.
But, the £3.50 pizza version has left shoppers divided.
“It looks beautiful,” one wrote in the comments, eager to try it.
“Grab me one of these,” another said, tagging their friend.
Others called it a “want and a need” while parents tagged each other saying that their “kids would love this.”
“These are so nice!” one shopper confirmed to others.
Another even requested it as their birthday cake this year.
But, not everyone was convinced by the sweet take on the Italian classic.
“I saw this I’d never buy it. Looks disgusting,” one wrote in the comments.
“That looks awful,” another added.

Shoppers can earn points with the More Than loyalty scheme when they spend online or in store.
How many points you earn will depend on the offers available at the time, plus you get five points for every litre of fuel at Morrisons petrol stations.

Shoppers also get cheaper prices that are just for members.
“What the hell is that are these people who come up with these ideas suffering from mental illness?” a third who refused to mince their words said.
Some also commented on the cost of the pizza claiming that it is just a “few marshmallows and buttons on bread £3.50 please.”
Others suggested improvements by making the base sweet or spreading chocolate over it to cover the dough.
But, Morrisons is not the only retailer leaving shoppers divided over their seasonal range this year.
Rival Asda have released a new Christmas-themed mayonnaise that is said to be perfect on turkey sandwiches.
Meanwhile, M&S has followed in Asda‘s footsteps by changing up an Italian classic.
For £10, shoppers can get a 750-gram Christmas lasagna with layers of pulled turkey, smoked bacon, cranberries and sauteed leek topped with the classic creamy bechamel.
Several shops are also selling Heinz Beanz’s limited edition item this year – canned pigs in blankets.
