Brilliant against your lot, weren’t good against Palace or Ipswich and were beaten. But we’ve seen them at times and go, when it works, it does look good. But if it looks bad, it is rotten.”
The former striker also underscored the unpredictability that has characterised Spurs’ campaign, particularly frustrating for their supporters.
He added: “I think for Spurs and Spurs fans certainly the ones that I know, I think they just don’t know what they’re going to get from week to week. They can well and truly rock up and beat Manchester City and people gas it, and then they can play Southampton in the following week and get beat.”
Bent’s critique stems from Spurs’ performances this season, which have swung from dominant victories to humbling defeats.
