Chad Duell confirmed his exit from fan favorite soap opera General Hospital, and now, we have a bit more information.
The 37-year-old soap opera star, who has been playing Michael Corinthos since 2010, shared of his exit, “This wasn’t an easy decision for me, but it feels like the right time in my life.”
However, since announcing his exit, fans have wondered if the role of Michael will be recast. Chad has been absent at times over the years, and has been replaced for short stints.

Executive producer Frank Valentini commented on Chad‘s exit, writing on X, “I am sad to confirm the news of Chad Duell’s forthcoming exit… I have loved working with Chad over the years and wish him nothing but the best. He is a terrific actor and will be missed by everyone at [General Hospital.]
He then confirmed, “There are no plans to recast his role at this time, but you never know in daytime. I can promise a great story for Michael and his family when Chad exits in the new year.”
