Rishabh Pant became the most expensive player in the history of IPL when Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) bought him for a record-breaking fee of Rs. 27 crore. In the bidding war, there was intense drama for the player.
Delhi Capitals made an attempt to use their Right-to-Match (RTM) card and retain him at Rs. 20.75 crore.

Lucknow took full advantage of this opportunity and raised their bid, which forced Delhi to step back.
Ultimately, Lucknow Super Giants prevailed and secured the star player for Rs. 27 crore.
