Indian wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan has been brought in by the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for a lower than expected fee of INR 11.25 crore. The last year’s finalists have made a smart move by brining in the explosive batter.
However, it is safe to say that the franchise have gotten the player for a much lower price than expected. Kishan was expected to be among the most expensive players in the auction, however that has definitely not turned out to be the case.
Earlier, Kishan was released by the Mumbai Indians ahead of the auction. The Mumbai-based franchise retained 5 capped players and thus, weren’t able to use their Right-to-Match card for the player.
It will be interesting to see on which spot will Kishan bat for the Hyderabad-based franchise, who already have quite some hard-hitters among their ranks.
