FORMER Corrie star Helen Flanagan is facing a driving ban after being caught speeding twice in 17 days.
But she blames her boyfriend — and said she was “too busy as a working single mum” to remember if she read court papers about the offences.
Flanagan, 34 — Rosie Webster in the ITV soap — was convicted in September of failing to respond to police notices of prosecution.
She had been asked to say who was driving her Audi Q7 when it was caught speeding on July 10 and July 26 in Liverpool.
Facing Wirral JPs without a lawyer, Flanagan said she thought her ex- footballer boyfriend Robbie Talbot, 45, responded as he had been the driver.
Asked if she had seen the papers, she said: “I think I did.”
But she added she was “confused”.
She said: “I am a busy working single mum.
“I cannot remember.”
Robbie insisted to the court he responded on his partner’s behalf after she signed the forms, but prosecutors say police did not get them.
Flanagan will face court again in January and was advised to get a lawyer.
She was warned she is still at risk of a drive ban.
