DEAR DEIDRE: WHAT can I do to stop my teenage daughter trashing the bathroom?
She’s 15, I am 40 and I work full-time.
At the end of a busy day, all I want is a relaxing bath, but I always have to clear up her leaking shampoo bottles, dirty clothes, underwear and used make-up wipes first.
She leaves long hairs everywhere and wet towels on the floor. She often forgets to flush the loo.
I have shouted at her many times, but she just ignores me.
The stress is now causing problems between my husband and I because he doesn’t understand why I am so angry.
I refuse to be her skivvy any more.
DEIDRE SAYS: Next time, don’t clean up after her. Gather up all of the mess and dump it in her bedroom.
Then close the door and forget about it.
Teenage girls can often be thoughtless at home, but she will soon change if the mess ends up in her private space.
My support pack Stressed With The Kids may help you.
