Despite her usual no-drinking rule to power through three-hour shows night after night, she’s even toying with the idea of getting into the liquor business with him. Swift threw her support behind Vice President Kamala Harris during the 2024 election, yet she’s still tight with Brittany Mahomes, even though Mahomes has made some questionable moves with pro-Trump social media posts.
All that is to say, for anyone unfamiliar with the pop star aside from what is plastered across the gossip feeds, there’s much more to Swift than meets the eye. And, apparently, one of the songstress’s lesser-known talents is her razor-sharp wit.
Swift’s personal lyricism might make her seem like the queen of emotional storytelling, but behind closed doors, she has a sharp sense of humor that can apparently escalate from gentle teasing to a full-on roast. Cara Delevingne, who briefly lived with Swift during a particularly rough breakup, revealed how Swift’s knack for wordplay extends well beyond her lyricism when the topic of Tom Brady’s Roast came up.
“I mean, as a Swiftie, I would love a roast of Taylor Swift. But I actually wouldn’t because I would be angry if anyone was really mean,” Glaser admitted. To this, Delevingne chimed in, “That’s so true. The thing about Taylor, though, is I’ve seen her do a speech at someone’s wedding before, and it was a roast. She’s one of the funniest, most clever people. Anyone could roast her easily, but at the same time, she could f**k everyone up so hard.”
Delevingne, who lived with Swift briefly during a tough breakup, had even more insight into the singer’s home life. “She’s very homely — she took such good care of me — but we definitely got into some…not trouble, but a wild ride,” the actress said.
Turns out Swift, the queen of heartbreak anthems, is also the queen of biting humor. Just don’t test her on it — she’s got the talent to leave you in her lyrical, or literal, dust.
