IF you’re about to meet your future husband or wife on your wedding day, you’re going to want to have a bit of a spruce up first.
But many Married At First Sight stars have completely changed their appearance once the cameras stopped rolling.
Polly Sellman was one of the brides on this year’s MAFS[/caption]Polly Sellman – from the most recent series of the E4 show – has revealed her 2.5st weight loss this week.
And, in a dig at her ex-husband Adam Nightingale, the fiery redhead showed off her incredible figure in the floral lingerie set he gifted her during the show, while holding her middle finger up.
She showed off her 2.5st weight loss in the underwear Adam Nightingale bought her[/caption]Polly revealed that she lost two stone after following a simple three-step method which included upping her water intake, eating less and moving more.
And she said, despite being trolled for her weight online, that wasn’t the reason for her weight loss.
She said: “I lost weight for my own reasons and none of you know why.”
But Polly isn’t the only former MAFS star to undergo a dramatic transformation after the show.
In fact, her ex Adam has also lost 2.5st in weight, after telling Polly he prefers “petite brunettes”.
Taking to the gym for a Sunday workout session, last month, the barber could be seen in the gym using various different machines, all while filming his progress.
He began the video by downing a pre-workout shake, before writing: “Sunday full body workout.
“Training to tone up now, not get big.”
Adam also revealed how much weight he’d lost, as he said: “2 & half stone weight loss but we still pushing.
“Weighing 13 stone 7. 10-15 reps x4 no slacking.”
He’s shed 2.5st since MAFS[/caption]Thomas Kriaras didn’t have much luck on MAFS last year, as his wife Rozz Darlington struggled to form a romantic connection with him.
But he’s had much more success in the gym.
Thomas Kriaras was married to Rozz Darlington last year[/caption]Once the show finished airing, the Wiltshire-based star shared an impressive body transformation with before and after pictures on Instagram.
He’s now very ripped and shows off his muscles[/caption]While flashing his ripped figure with a clearly defined six-pack and biceps, he performed a bicep curl on his left arm while holding his phone for his mirror selfie in his right hand.
And Tom admitted he “doesn’t recognise myself”.
Gemma Rose Barnes had a very hard time in the 2022 series of MAFS, as her husband Matt Murray ditched her for another bride, Whitney Hughes.
The hairdresser later confessed the whole experience left her feeling “suicidal”.
She told the Mail: “It was the worst experience of my life. I felt trapped.
“We weren’t being held hostage but if you said ‘I have to go now’ – I wouldn’t call it manipulation but there was coercion on their side to convince you to stay.”
But Gemma has moved on from all the drama and has lost 5st since having a gastric sleeve fitted last year.
Gemma flew to Turkey for her weight loss operation last year, and later said it “changed her life”.

“Getting used to this new way of life and the mental struggles of fast weight loss.
Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby.
The pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam’s Doncaster home.
Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau.
Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December.
Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: “I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out – and excited for everything to come.”
Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019.
Owen recalled: “I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work.
“While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in.
“The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if I signed up?’
“A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.”
Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.
Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna’s vegan lifestyle, the show’s first same sex pairing are still going strong.
They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod.
Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: “We’re not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship.”
“I aim to lose a stone and a half more. I may lose a little more but I will gain again after as my portions increase in time.
“The sleeve is a tool, trust me, you can stall in weight loss and there are certain foods you can eat lots of like chocolate and crisps so it’s not fool proof but I try and utilise this as much as possible.
“This has been once in a lifetime for me.”
Georges Berthonneau married Peggy Lawrence on last year’s series of MAFS, but the couple announced their split on Valentine’s Day this year.
He’s been showing off his weight loss recently[/caption]Confessing he’d hit an all time low after the reality show, Georges has since had a lifestyle overhaul and revealed his 1.5st weight loss in August.
The online fitness instructor told The Sun: “My life has always been fitness, and I knew I needed to sort myself out.
He’s lost 1.5st since the show[/caption]“I have had a lifestyle change and I love walking as that has helped me to shift the weight too.
“So I’ve really been focusing on my fitness business and my coaching and I want to help people change their lives.”
Before marrying Gemma on MAFS, Matt had already undergone a huge transformation, having bulked up in the gym, and got tattoos everywhere – including his face.
But these days, having ditched the alcohol and drugs, he’s bulked up even more.
He’s also dyed his ginger hair bleach blonde.
Sharing a picture of himself on MAFS, alongside one of himself now, he wrote: “11 months of no alcohol, 12 months of no hard drugs.”
He’s even more ripped and has a bleach blonde mullet[/caption]With another ‘before and after’ pairing, showing off his ripped body, he wrote: “Change all starts in the mind.
“Let my story so far be proof to you that you can encounter hard times and come out stronger. You can feel left on the floor unable to breathe but somehow find the will to climb up to your feet.
“Life is going to smack you in the f***ing face over and over. Don’t wait for it to hit you before you start making changes
“Start today.”
Morag Crichton appeared on the 2021 series of Married At First Sight UK and was paired with Luke Dawson.
But things didn’t get off to the best start – with Morag complaining: “He’s not exactly what I ordered.”
The couple continued to have their fair share of ups and downs, which caused them to part ways straight after the E4 experiment.
Morag then claimed that Luke “hadn’t called her once” since they left the show, insisting he had “ghosted her”.
But she’s had a complete makeover since the show ended.
She’s had a nose job and dyed her hair red[/caption]Last year, she flew abroad to have a nose job.
Sharing a picture of her bloodied and swollen face, Morag admitted: “It’s like I’ve just woken up with the world’s worst hangover but also last night I got into a fight with Tyson Fury.”
