Star wide receiver Gunnar Helm and the Texas Longhorns (9-1) meet the Kentucky Wildcats (4-6) on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET, at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium.
The Longhorns took down the Arkansas Razorbacks 20-10 in their last outing. The Wildcats are coming off of a 48-6 win over the Murray State Racers. Quinn Ewers threw for 176 yards, with two touchdowns and no interceptions on 20-of-32 passing (62.5%) for the Horns in that matchup against the Razorbacks. Jaydon Blue took 14 carries for 83 yards (5.9 yards per carry), while adding three receptions for 19 yards in the passing game. Isaiah Bond had 48 yards on four catches (12.0 per reception) in that game. Brock Vandagriff went 12-for-19 with 183 yards, two touchdowns and one interception for the Cats against the Racers. Jamarion Wilcox put together a 13-carry, 123-yard game (9.5 yards per attempt) with one touchdown, while tacking on one reception for three yards . Hardley Gilmore IV caught two passes for 72 yards (36.0 yards per catch), scoring one touchdown.
