Jasprit Bumrah has had an outstanding outing on the first Day of the opening Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, as he has excelled on the captaincy side as well. the right arm-pacer stole the spot as he dominated over the Australian batters and dismissed the opening lineup early on.
Bumrah then went on to take the key wicket of Steven Smith, who went back to the dugout for a one-ball duck.
Bumrah secured his name in the books of history as he became the first bowler in 10 years to have dismissed Steven Smith on his very first ball, i.e. a golden duck.
The last time Smith was dismissed for a golden duck was back in 2014, when Dale Steyn dismissed Smith for a golden duck in South Africa. Smith has not gone for a golden duck since then (10 years). Bumrah has achieved a massive feat by dismissing Smith on his very first ball.
