November 22 – The naming rights to the EFL Trophy, currently called the Bristol Street Motors Trophy, have been rebranded to the Vertu Trophy with immediate effect.
The change is a result of the automotive retailer consolidating its three brands into one.
The English Football League trophy is played between teams from League One, League Two and U21 teams from the Premier League and Championship
The league agreed a three-year deal as the title sponsor of the EFL trophy through to the end of the 2025/26 season with the automotive group in November last year.
