A pair of the top offensive players in college football will be on display when wideout Xavier Restrepo and the Miami Hurricanes (9-1) take on Demond Claiborne and the Wake Forest Demon Deacons (4-6) on Saturday, November 23, 2024.
The Hurricanes enter this matchup following a 28-23 loss to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in their last outing. The Demon Deacons’ last game was a 31-24 loss to the North Carolina Tar Heels. Against the Yellow Jackets, Cameron Ward led the Canes with 348 yards on 25-of-39 passing (64.1%) for three touchdowns and no interceptions. Damien Martinez carried the ball 15 times for 81 yards (5.4 yards per carry). He added one reception for 10 yards. Jacolby George led the receiving charge against the Yellow Jackets, catching seven passes for 88 yards. Michael Kern went 14-for-23 with 172 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions for the Deacs against the Tar Heels. In that matchup, Claiborne had a 20-carry, 95-yard game (4.8 yards per attempt) with two touchdowns. He also added three receptions for 28 yards . Taylor Morin picked up 70 yards through the air after four catches (on six targets), with one touchdown.
