Lindsay Lohan may be a cool mom most of the time, but she turns into a full mama bear when the need arises. The Mean Girls star shared a story about a time she turned overprotective on the playground with her 1-year-old son Luai, and it’s clear how much she loves her little boy.
“Yesterday, we were at the park, and this little boy was blowing bubbles,” Lohan recalled in an interview with E! News with her Our Little Secret co-stars Ian Harding and Kristin Chenoweth. “But this kid was running fast, and he was older than Luai, so I was like, ‘Stay back, stay back!’ and trying to hold him,” she said with a laugh.
“He’s like, ‘Bubble, bubble!’” she continued, miming how her toddler talks. Oh man, isn’t that the worst when you see trouble before it happens? She was able to prevent a collision this time, but mamas don’t always get that lucky!
In the interview, the Freaky Friday star shared another update about her toddler, who she shares with husband Bader Shammas. “Now, he’s just more verbal, and he’s running a lot. And it’s just like, he’s like a little boy now,” she said, with her face glowing as she talked about her only child. It’s too sweet, we can’t handle it!
Luai turned 1 in July, and Lohan celebrated with a car-themed party. She shared pictures of his cute blue cake on Instagram, writing a sweet note to her baby in the caption. “Happy Birthday to my Luai. You are 1!” she wrote. “I love you more than anything in this world. My son, my baby, my heart, my everything.” She went on, “I love you always always, forever and ever and beyond! ????????❤️”
Mom life definitely suits Lohan, even if it does cause a little extra anxiety sometimes. It’s just part of the job!
