“By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes,” says “The Traitors” host Alan Cumming to open the new teaser trailer Peacock released for the upcoming third season of the reality competition series (watch it above). It’s set to return on Jan. 9 with the following 21 contestants:

“The Traitors” pits a team of Faithfuls against a team of Traitors in a competition where the Faithfuls must try to banish the Traitors before the Traitors are able to murder all the Faithfuls. The devious show just pulled off a coup of its own at the Emmys, winning Best Competition Program and Best Reality Host (Cumming) over the reigning champion in both races, “RuPaul’s Drag Race.”
Who will win this edition of the series? Season 1 ended with a triumphant Traitor, Cirie Fields of “Survivor: Panama” fame. But the Faithfuls got their revenge in Season 2 when “The Real World” alums Trishelle Cannatella and Chris Tamburello were the victors. “Will these gaming heavyweights play fair?” Cumming asks. “I sincerely hope not.”
