North Korea blames US for rising tensions, warns of Nuclear war
North Korea’s leader accused the United States of escalating tensions and engaging in provocative behavior, stating that the Korean Peninsula has never faced the risk of nuclear war as severely as it does now.
According to the state news agency, Kim Jong Un called for upgrading the country’s military arsenal.
On Thursday, Kim Jong Un said during a speech at a military exhibition in Pyongyang that he had tested negotiations with Washington, but the results showed that U.S. policy toward North Korea remains “aggressive and hostile.”
Previously, Kim Jong Un had also urged his military to enhance its capabilities for real warfare.
Accusing the U.S. and its allies of heightening tensions, the North Korean leader called on his forces to prepare for war.
Last week, during an inspection of a drone testing site, Kim ordered Pyongyang to prioritize the “mass production” of suicide drones.
These developments highlight North Korea’s growing focus on military modernization, signaling an increasingly aggressive stance amid strained relations with the U.S. and its allies.
The emphasis on mass-producing advanced weaponry, such as suicide drones, reflects Pyongyang’s push to bolster its deterrence capabilities.
