NEW JERSEY (PIX11) – Snow is expected to fall in parts of New Jersey Thursday evening, creating slippery road conditions that could impact the morning commute.
The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for Sussex, Morris and Warren counties in New Jersey and Northampton County in Pennsylvania. The winter weather advisory will be in effect from 7 p.m. Thursday to 10 a.m. Friday.
Sussex County could generally get between 2-4 inches of snow. Places with elevations over 1,200 feet could get close to 5-6 inches of snow.
Morris, Warren and Northampton counties could generally get 1-2 inches of snow. Places with elevations over 1,200 feet could get 3-4 inches of snow.
Drivers should plan for slippery road conditions that could impact the Friday morning commute, according to the National Weather Service.
“Slow down and use caution while traveling. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 511,” said an alert from the National Weather Service.
Additionally, a winter storm warning was issued for Sullivan and Ulster counties in New York for late Thursday into Friday.
