A LEADING Samsung rival has launched two new smartphones in the UK with top notch camera and battery kit.
Oppo’s premium flagship devices have been absent from the UK for almost three years now.
Find X8 and X8 Pro now on sale in the UK[/caption] Users can share photos with their iPhone mates[/caption]But the Oppo Find X8 and Find X8 Pro mark a triumphant return for the Chinese brand.
The company is known for making premium level Android handsets with decent a camera packed in.
On the back of the Find X8 Pro you’ll find a quadruple 50-megapixel camera setup.
The firm claims it is the “first globally available smartphone to feature two periscope cameras, offering industry-leading gapless zoom performance”.
Oppo has once again worked with the major camera brand Hasselblad on the photography front.
The Find X8 Pro serves as a competitor for Samsung‘s mighty Galaxy S24 Ultra.
One new feature that will catch people’s attention is the Quick Button which seems very similar to the iPhone 16’s Camera Control button.
The Quick Button is a touch-sensitive strip on the right side that can quickly launch the camera and control zoom.
And rather handily, Oppo has developed a Touch to Share feature as well that allows to tap the end of an iPhone and send photos or other files using NFC – much like AirDrop.
Oppo has also jumped on the AI bandwagon with a bunch of useful tools.
AI Eraser and AI Unblur are among the features to help improve photos.
And there’s an AI Assistant for Notes too.
The Oppo Find X8 Pro is available from today at £1049.
Until December 5, buyers can claim a complimentary Oppo Watch X worth £299 as well when buying from the Oppo online store.
Shoppers can bring the price down further by trading in, receiving the residual value of your old device plus £100.
The Sun has been testing the Oppo Find X8 Pro and will have a full test review soon.
