New Delhi: Skipper Rohit Sharma is all set to fly to Australia in the coming days. He is expected to join the team in Perth on the third day of the first Test at the Optus Stadium on November 24. He did not accompany the team on the Australia tour due to the birth of his second child.
The Indian team left for Australia in three batches between November 10 and 11, but Rohit stayed back due to the birth of his second child. Rohit’s wife gave birth to a son on November 15 and since then the Hitman’s Australia tour has been a matter of speculation.
Rohit Sharma can join the team on November 24:
According to Cricbuzz, Rohit Sharma can join the Indian team on Sunday 24 November. It is worth noting that it was already decided that Rohit Sharma would not be able to participate in the first Test match. He had already informed the BCCI about this. In the absence of Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah will lead the team in the first Test.
