SHOPPERS only have a few days left to snap up Cadbury’s advent calendar before December 1.
Dairy Milk is a fan-favourite when it comes to choosing an advent calendar, so we worked out which supermarket is selling it for the best price.
This week Aldi has the best offer on the 24-piece milk chocolate calendar with it selling on shelves for just £1.46.
In comparison, it originally costs the shopper £3.29 on the Cadbury website – meaning you get over half off in Aldi.
But it isn’t the only supermarket knocking prices in the run up to Christmas.
In Tesco you can also get the Christmas calendar for over 50% off when you shop with a Clubcard, for the price of £1.50.
Meanwhile, in Sainsbury’s, Ocado and Waitrose you will need to spend £1.75 for the Cadbury item.
This is still a £1.54 save from the original price, but you’re dishing out 29p more than you would in Aldi.
Other places offering deals on the advent calendar include Asda, Iceland, Poundland and Morrisons.
In Asda it is selling for £2 – but elsewhere prices start to get a little more expensive, with it priced at £2.50 in Iceland and Poundland, and £2.75 in Morrisons.
The Dairy Milk calendar is a fan-favourite each year for both its classic Cadbury taste and reasonable cost.
Prices tend to fluctuate a lot in the run up to the festive period, so its worth keeping a close eye.
Last November Morrisons slashed the price of their Cadbury’s advent calendars from £2.75 to just £1 for those with a More Card.
To keep track of prices this year, you can use comparisons sites like Trolley which show you the price of products across all supermarkets.
It’s always helpful to compare prices before you buy so you don’t miss out.
It also helps to sign up for free membership deals, such as the Morrisons More Card, Tesco Clubcard or Sainsbury’s Nectar Card.
Once you have a membership you can also browse the latest deals on popular products using the retailer’s app or website.
Remember that online prices don’t always reflect the prices in store.
Sometimes they can vary between stores, or a product might not be available.
To avoid disappointment you can usually check online to see if an item is available in your local shop.
To find your local supermarket of choice, visit their website and use the Store Finder tool.
Many of this year’s hottest Advent calendars are now sold out, but we’ve reviewed a few that you can still purchase — hurry while stocks last!
If you’re not tempted by the idea of a Dairy Milk Christmas calendar, then there are plenty of other options being slashed in price.
In Aldi, the Nestle KitKat calendar is just £1.88.
In comparison, the product costs as much as £1.12 more in other stores, with it selling for £3 in Sainsburys.
You can also get the Nestle Milky Bar calendar cheapest in Aldi at the same price.
Aldi also has the best deal on a Maltesers calendar but is slightly more expensive, with the calendar costing £2.04.
In comparison, it is £3.25 in Morrisons, meaning shopping at Aldi secures you a 37% saving.
Meanwhile, if you love Terry’s Chocolate Orange, the cheapest option for its advent calendar is £2.50 in Morrisons or Sainsburys.
It costs 50p more to buy on Ocado, so make sure you grab the better deal.
If you’re still unsure what to get, this year The Sun did a review of all the classic supermarket chocolate calendars.
The M&S Chocolate Shop calendar was a ‘clear winner’ but cost £12.
Though it was pretty close so make sure you check out all the cheap runners-up on the list too.
