The planet Venus is always fascinating to admire, whether as a morning or evening "star." This past September, it was shining brilliantly in the evening twilight when observing the western horizon a little after sunset. As shown above, I was able to photograph it (upper left center) over the Gulf of Palermo, juxtaposed to these eye-catching crepuscular rays (right side of photo). Photo taken on September 17, 2024.
