ONCE upon a time new films were confined to the cinema, but now the magic of top movies is transferring to the real world.
Much-hyped blockbuster Wicked, starring pop queen Ariana Grande, hits screens nationwide tomorrow.
And it will be making waves in the shops too, with its partnership hook-ups.
Universal Pictures has locked down SIXTY brand collaborations, meaning fans of the Wizard Of Oz origins story can eat, drink, sleep, play and dress like the film.
Parents of Wicked-mad kids will be able to sort stocking fillers without a trip to Oz.
And if you need an office secret Santa, that’s in the bag too.
But make sure you pick the side you want — pink for Ariana’s good witch Glinda or green for Cynthia Erivo’s wicked witch, Elphaba.
Last year, box office smash Barbie made waves with more than 30 collaborations, including dolls of Margot Robbie’s title character and Ken, played by Ryan Gosling.
TAKING a leaf out of Barbie’s book, Mattel has created the toy images of Glinda and Elphaba to look like the film’s lead actresses.
The dupes are so good, you might believe magic was involved.
It’s just a shame the original packaging linked to an adult website, rather than the film — a mistake Mattel has profusely apologised for.
IF a doll doesn’t make you want to run down the yellow brick road, Monopoly and Lego have created special themed editions.
After all, who doesn’t want to own the Wizard’s Palace or the Emerald City?
TO help you on your way to face the wonderful wizard are some Crocs — although they’re not silver like the key shoes in the movie.
Nor are they red like Dorothy’s.
Instead, they are a classic green or pink, but you can personalise them with fun Wicked charms.
YOU can make your outfit even more spellbinding with help from Claire’s Accessories’ best friends bracelet and necklace two-pack sets.
KEEN for something a bit more understated?
Opi nail polish has brought out a range in pink and green.
Or get a themed lip balm from Dr PawPaw.
Alternatively, leave the spells in the tub with bath bombs and soaps thanks to Lush.
FOR something more upmarket, why not fly away with a Wicked-themed Beis suitcase — because who doesn’t want to spend £300 on movie-themed luggage?
STARBUCKS has stepped up its drinks range to include Glinda’s Pink Potion Mango Dragon-fruit Refresher and Elphaba’s peppermint Cold Brew.
Or enjoy your own tipple on the go in a Wicked-themed cup from Argos.
You could fill it with Robinsons’ Elphaba’s Amazafying Citrus Twist or Glinda’s Outstandiful Berry.
TO complete the Wicked-themed movie snacking, try Butterkist popcorn and Betty Crocker’s cake mix which only reveals its final colour when mixed together.
THE fun isn’t just for kids.
Adults can enjoy a cocktail kit from Absolut or style their ’do with a limited- edition Shark hairdryer.
FINALLY, why not tick off the days till Christmas with a Wicked advent calendar?
Who says the magic has to stop in the movie theatre?
