This Asus Copilot+ Laptop With OLED Display Is on Sale for $550 Right Now

A laptop can be a simple tool, but the Asus Vivobook S 15 goes a bit beyond that with an exceptional OLED display, lightweight design with premium materials, and the upgrades that come with Microsoft’s Copilot+ program. While normally a suite of features like this would cost closer to $1,000, this deal from Best Buy has the Vivobook S 15 going for just $550 after a $350 discount. 

The Vivobook S 15 is a lightweight machine, weighing just a little over three pounds, which is quite modest for a system packing a 15.6-inch display. Asus even went in for an aluminum chassis for this model—a big step up from the plastic builds I’d normally expect at this price. And even though the Vivobook S 15 is just 0.63-inches thick, Asus includes a great array of ports, including two USB4 ports and full-size HDMI. You also get a webcam with IR emitters to support Windows Hello facial recognition, one of the more convenient ways I’ve come across for signing into a laptop in all my years testing them. 

Perhaps the star of the show is that display though. It’s an OLED panel, which can make for great visuals when watching TV and movies or playing games. Here again, I would have expected a simpler 1080p display and 60Hz refresh rate, but Asus has gone above and beyond with a 2880x1620 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate that will keep everything looking sharp, smooth, and stunning. 

At the heart of this Vivobook S 15 configuration is a Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus X1P-42-100, which isn’t the most mind-blowingly fast CPU, but can run most basic computing tasks quite well. For casual browsing, online research, and streaming content, it’s up to the task. It also features an NPU that enables Microsoft’s Copilot+ features, such as image generation, document analysis, live translation, and a growing set of tools. For some, the more important aspect of this chip will be its efficiency, which should let the Vivobook S 15 run for extensive battery life.
