THEY’RE both known for commanding attention with their on-stage looks.
And another thing Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter have in common is their love of a shiny leg.
The base tights are believed to be these Capezio dance ones[/caption]While there are thousands of products that claim to give a golden sheen to the skin, Taylor and Sabrina’s look needs to withstand the toll of performing and dancing on stage.
So they both rely on a pair of £7.50 tights, which make their pins stand out.
But you won’t find the hosiery on the high street.
Instead you’ll have to head to your nearest dance shop, as the tights are those usually favoured by professional dancers.
As one person took to TikTok to ask how Taylor and Sabrina got the look, the comments section on the video was flooded with people all saying the same thing.
Namely that the two singers turn to the Capezio Shimmer tights for their performances.
And given that the tights retail for around £7.50 a pop, it’s a much more realistic item from the singers’ wardrobes that fans can try out too.
“I bought some and they did not disappoint,” one wrote.
“They are ballet tights!
“Mine are Capezio ultra shimmer in toast and they are exactly the same.”
“Capezio shimmer tights!” another agreed.
“They are dance tights so they are built to withstand tons of movement.”
“Capezio literally sold out for a year because Eras Tour we all got them now,” a third laughed.
“My mum wears these special tights,” someone else said.
“Capezio Shimmer – they hide her varicose veins.”
“Capezio or bloch shimmer tights,” another commented.
AHEAD of going to see Taylor in action, Fabulous Digital Writer Leanne Hall weighs in on whether the merch is really worth the price tag:
“As a 29-year-old Swiftie who made it to the top 0.1% of Taylor listeners on Spotify last year, you could say I’m very excited to see her on the Era’s Tour in London later this month.
“With the three-hour long set list, there’s no surprise Taylor was named Time Magazine’s Person of the Year and fans lucky enough to get tickets know they’re about to watch the concert of the century.
“The Eras Tour catapulted the singer/songwriter into the billionaires club, and it’s no surprise when some UK tickets were going for almost £700 a pop.
“While tickets were expensive, her merch isn’t far off what most artists price their stuff at, and I for one will be spending hundreds to get my hands on sweaters and T-shirts from the tour.
“While £70 for a hoodie would make me think twice if I was shopping in a store, this isn’t a regular hoodie.
“Yes, you’ll look fabulous heading to the shops in it, but it’s also a piece of the day you get to keep forever to look back fondly on, and for me and many other Swifties, no price tag can match that.”
While someone else said: “As a dancer, I can confirm it’s Capezio tights.
“It’s what we all wear lol!”
However, others said the Shake It Off star and her Espresso pal are actually wearing the shimmery tights under some other ones too.
“It’s three pairs though – like Capezio shimmer then tan fishnets then plain pantyhose on top,” one wrote.
“So if costume catches on anything it doesn’t rip the fishnets.”
“I’ve heard from dancers it’s one regular capezio and then shiny capezio and then capezio fishnets on top of that,” another said.
“Being a dancer/dance teacher I always forget normal people have no clue Capezio tights exist!” someone else laughed.
“These are the shimmer tights with suntan color fishnet tights over them.”
