Zooey Deschanel Dresses Up For 2024 Governors Awards In Strappy Mary Jane Pumps
Zooey Deschanel dazzled at the Governors Awards on Nov. 17, wearing a pair of platform Mary Jane-style pumps with a little black dress.
The actress wore a thigh-length A-line dress adorned with sequins on its long sleeves and across the bodice and collar. The dress was accented by ultra-sheer tights featuring polka dotted crystal-like embellishments. She wore her hair back with her signature bangs on display. Meanwhile, Deschanel’s fiancé Jonathan Scott, of HGTV’s “Property Brothers,” looked spiffy in a navy blue tuxedo and patent derby shoes. The couple announced their engagement in August of 2024.
Deschanel elevated her look with a chic take on a Mary Jane pump. This shoe featured not one, but two straps across the midsection of the foot in addition to one around the ankle. Each of the three straps gleamed with a metallic buckle offering a difference in materiality and hue to the shoe. The bold pump also featured a rounded toe elevated by a platform while a heel boosted the look in the back. Similar shoe styles have been made by Christian Louboutin and Steve Madden.
Deschanel’s varied footwear style includes both heels and flats, ranging from embellished black satin pumps to purple bow-adorned ballet flats.
