NEW YORK (PIX11) -- The third victim of a random stabbing spree in Manhattan Monday morning has died, according to the NYPD.
The victim, a 36-year-old woman, was stabbed in the chest and left arm near East 42nd Street and First Avenue, police say. She was taken to the hospital but succumbed to her injuries.
The two other victims, a 36-year-old construction worker, and a 68-year-old man who was fishing, died earlier Monday with multiple stab wounds to the abdomen, according to the NYPD.
The 36-year-old has been identified as Angel Lata Landi of Peekskill, police say. Landi was located at 444 West 19th Street.
The 68-year-old was located at 530 East 30th Street, police say.
The suspect, later identified as Ramon Rivera, 51, was taken into custody. Riverwa was a homeless recidivist commercial burglar who was recently released from Rikers, according to sources.
Rivera was charged with three counts of murder in the first degree.
