After Sports Illustrated Swimsuit announced on Tuesday that Cameron Brink would be one of the athletes featured in this year’s issue, the Los Angeles Sparks’ small forward posted several behind-the-scenes clips of her photoshoot to Instagram.
The clips of Brink’s SI Swim shoot came amidst a flurry of photos showing what 2024’s number two overall pick has been up to during her offseason. Though Brink’s rookie season was sidelined after just 15 games when she tore her ACL, she averaged an impressive 21.9 minutes per game and seems poised to make a return.
The first video shows Brink in a parking lot clad in a white bikini, fluffing her hair and smiling into the camera while a technician applies lotion to her leg. The second clip shows Brink in the same bikini but now standing on a beach. She flips her hair from side to side, posing as a crew member measures the atmosphere with a light meter.
Elsewhere in the carousel, Brink showed off the gnarly scar on her knee from her ACL surgery and a mirror selfie of herself in a skimpy red bikini. She also included a photo of herself in a production trailer holding her name plaque from Wheel of Fortune, and a video of herself spinning the iconic wheel.
Brink’s fans were thrilled to get such an extensive behind-the-scenes look at the athlete’s downtime. “Literally thriving, Cameron,” one wrote. “Comeback player of the year,” another predicted. Meanwhile, one confident admirer told Brink what every woman waits to hear: “My mom said we can get married.”
