Anne Hathaway had a very literal viral run-in with New York Knicks player Ogugua “OG” Anuoby while attending a basketball game with her son, Jack, on Wednesday night (November 13).
The 42-year-old Princess Diaries actress and her four-year-old son watched the Knicks face off against the Chicago Bulls at New York City’s Madison Square Garden.
They had some of the best seats in the house since they were sitting courtside. However, the pair got a little too close to the action when the Knicks player accidentally tripped over a barrier and nearly landed on them.

A video on X (formerly Twitter) captured the moment, showing that OG knocked over a tub of popcorn, which appears to be the only casualty as he didn’t seem to actually bump Anne or Jack.
The actress was seen comforting her son in the aftermath.
“The princess of genovia is safe,” one fan wrote on the app, referencing Anne‘s role in the iconic franchise.
