Watch the moment Coldplay’s Chris Martin saves young fan from being crushed at huge stadium gig

COLDPLAY frontman Chris Martin saved a young fan from being crushed at one of his gigs last week.

The Fix You singer, 47, spotted some commotion while on stage at the band’s Sydney concert on Thursday night.

Chris noticed a young boy struggling in the standing area of the crowd at their Music Of The Spheres World Tour.

A clip of the moment has been circulating on TikTok shortly after it happened.

It shows Chris pointing over at the boy and offered him a safe space to watch the rest of the show.

“You can sit right here, you don’t have to be squeezed,” Chris said.

“You don’t have to be squished by all these adults.”

The fan was lifted over stage barriers to a spot next to the runway.

The pop star added before he continued to perform: “Sit right there my little brother…better? We’ll take care of you man.”

Many fans were quick to praise Chris for his kind gesture.

One wrote: “This was the best part of the night.”

A second said: “Chris was really sweet to do that,” while another added: “Such a class act.”

Last Saturday, fans were left shocked when Chris fell through an open trap door during a huge sold out show.

He was walking backwards down a runway inside Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium when he took a nasty tumble that drew audible gasps from thousands of fans.

Ever-positive Chris took the incident in his stride, laughing it off by uttering: “That’s not planned.”

He then said: “Thank you for catching me.”

Video footage of the accident shows the singer, in his customary blue T-shirt, plunging from view before awkwardly clambering to his feet.

Last month the band’s tenth album Moon Music went straight to number one, becoming the biggest-selling record by a UK act in three years.

The band is on course to become the first UK act to earn more than £1billion by the time they complete their run of gigs next summer.

A source revealed: “Coldplay will be on course to bank £1billion from their Music Of The Spheres tour, which is an incredible feat. The global demand for their live shows is incredible and they sell out every venue.”
