Andra Day is joining the cast!
Production is underway for Season 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and producers have just found their Athena in the 39-year-old The Deliverance star.
The exciting announcement was made during a virtual panel at Disney’s D23 Expo in Brazil.

For a little background, via Variety: Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom, is one of the most important Olympian characters in Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson books, being the mother of Annabeth Chase (Leah Sava Jeffries), Percy’s (Walker Scobell) close friend and fellow demigod.
