Shangri-La Toronto Residence is a minimalist apartment located in Toronto, Canada, designed by Studio Alina Ryssina in partnership with Teo Homes with styling by Maek Design Studio. Using rich wood millwork to anchor the space, the design integrates seamlessly with the home’s architecture, balancing modern updates with warm, organic tones. Throughout, built-in storage and discreetly concealed features streamline the living areas, maintaining a sense of calm and cohesion. Subtle textures enhance this atmosphere, turning the space into a welcoming retreat that naturally adapts to family life.
An understated highlight of the redesign is a transformed corner of the living room, previously unused, now serving as an elegant office nook—open and adaptable to both daily family routines and remote work. This space inspired the ALIxAPA Edition 01 Desk, crafted with minimalist precision and available at Hollace Cluny in Toronto. Featuring a streamlined design with a discreet drawer, the desk is tailored for daily essentials—pens, notepads, and a laptop—blending simplicity with functionality.
