A sixth Ice Age is officially in the works!
On Friday (November 8), Disney revealed that they were developing a new movie in the franchise, which kicked off in 2002. The fifth movie – Ice Age: Collision Course – premiered in 2016.
Now, the series is being reinvigorated, and many stars are set to reprise their roles.

According to reporting by Deadline, Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Queen Latifah, Denis Leary and Simon Pegg are all back for the new movie, which was revealed during D23 Brazil.
A timeline for release has not been revealed yet, and it is not clear if the project will premiere in theaters on on Disney+. However, it “is currently being made.”

Of course, this is not the first legacy project that Disney is reviving. A sequel to Moana is due in theaters later this month, and a sequel to Freaky Friday will arrive in 2025 with many original stars returning.
