MANILA, Philippines – Jayson Castro is timeless.
Now 38, Castro showed he still belongs to the PBA elite by capturing the Finals MVP award in the PBA Governors’ Cup after helping TNT win its 10th title following a six-game conquest of Barangay Ginebra on Friday, November 8.
“The Blur” finished the series with averages of 10.3 points, 5.2 assists, and 3.0 rebounds to claim his third Finals MVP plum.
He delivered 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists in Game 6 as the Tropang Giga closed out the Gin Kings with a come-from-behind 95-85 victory.
Castro won Finals MVP more than a decade since he last nailed the award in the 2011 Commissioner’s Cup, where he and TNT also bested Ginebra in six games. – Rappler.com
