SUPERMARKET chain Morrisons is joining the Black Friday fun with several season discounts for bargain hunters to snap up this month.
One that has really caught the eye of our Sun Shopping team is on a flash deal that is only around for this weekend.
Morrisons deals
From today until Sunday (10 November) the chain is slashing the price of Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate advent calendars to just £1.
Normally £2.75, the Dairy Milk festive chocolate advent has a huge 63% price cut, which is ideal for families wanting to stock up on the seasonal treat.
The limited offer is exclusively available for More Card loyalty cardholders and can be claimed in stores nationwide.
But that isn’t the only bargain on offer for Morrisons shoppers, we have also spied discounts on festive tipples like Baileys and big savings on Christmas chocolate tubs.
We expect to see plenty more offers on booze and festive ranges throughout the month and will be updating this guide with all the newest deals Morrisons will be dropping.
Follow our Black Friday live blog to get all the latest updates and shop the best deals.
This year Black Friday takes place on 29 November.
As a traditionally US-only event, Black Friday always falls the Friday after the US Thanksgiving holiday.
Black Friday marks the biggest shopping date in the calendar when tens of thousands of retailers and brands launch price cuts on coveted products ahead of the festive season.
Morrisons has previously taken part in the festivities by slashing prices on key items like Christmas chocolates, alcohol and even Morrison cafe meal deals.
It’s likely we will see deals at Morrisons throughout the month, although they may not officially be badged as Black Friday discounts.
Of course, we will be refreshing this guide, so keep it bookmarked and check back for updates.

However, the chain does offer a special Morrisons delivery pass that is undoubtedly the best value for money.

Morrisons is the only major supermarket to offer deliveries through Amazon Prime and the service comes at no extra cost for members.

But there is a minimum basket value of £50 to be eligible for home delivery.
Cyber Monday often marks the close to the Black Friday sales period.
It always falls on the Monday after Black Friday and this year the date will be 2 December.
Cyber Monday was originally an online-only event, with retailers offering last-minute sale deals online as a counterpart to in-store sales on Black Friday.
However, over the last decade, we have seen Black Friday and the Cyber Weekend of discounts morph into an online extravaganza, meaning Cyber Monday has become an extension of the discounting rather than a separate thing.
It’s likely many retailers will continue the same deals throughout Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but it is worth double-checking your favourite brands to see if any exclusive savings or discount codes are released on the day.
Many sales will end at midnight on Cyber Monday, but some retailers may choose to continue some deals in the run-up to Christmas.
Buying a delivery pass can slash the cost of shopping online if you’re a Morrisons regular.
You also get priorities for Christmas delivery slots.
How much it costs depends on which you get anytime or mid-week, and if it’s for the year, six-months or monthly.
You’ll need to work out the cost compared to how much you spend on delivery without one to see if it’s worthwhile.
Morrisons does a range of wonky veg that can work out cheaper than the main range.
Check websites like Quidco and TopCashback BEFORE you place your order.
Cashback websites PAY you to shop. All you have to do is click through their links and the money is added to your online account.
Search for discount codes on websites like MyVoucherCodes.co.uk and VoucherCodes.co.uk to see if you can get money off at the till.
Follow your favourite shops on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and sign up to its deals newsletter to get the latest on any offers. We post the best deals in our Sun Money FB group too.
Try switching all of your branded or premium goods for lower level ones and see if you notice the difference.
Morrisons regularly adds new products to its ‘own-brand “savers” range.
This is its value range where prices start from as little as 20p.
It includes all sorts of products including peas, spaghetti, marmalade, jaffa cakes and washing up liquid.
Swap your usual items for savers alternatives and see if you can tell the difference.
Shoppers can earn points with the More Than loyalty scheme when they spend online or in store.
